Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a year 5 pupil with SEN in a fantastic primary school based in Hackney.

About the Role:

The pupil in question has severe ASC needs and requires additional support throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will have a background working with SEN, specifically ASC and SEMH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the pupil on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day
  • Monitor behaviour and support the pupil with classwork set out by the teacher
  • Monitor progress of classwork and support the class teacher with the daily running of the class
Requirements:
  • Experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Experience working with KS1 or KS2 pupils
  • Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Background in care
  • Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
  • UK address and right to work
  • Level 3 TA qualifications
