About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs.

Job Summary:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to develop and implement strategies that promote pupil progress and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs, providing assistance with lessons and activities.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring activities are tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting back to teaching staff and parents/guardians as required.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils needing extra help with their learning.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the school's policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: West London.
