We are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician to join our team at our Heanor, Derbyshire site.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work under the supervision of scientists and engineers to develop new products from conception to scale-up. This will involve fabrication of specimens, physical, chemical, non-destructive, and mechanical characterization of resins and composite materials.
Key Responsibilities- Work under supervision to develop new products from conception to scale-up.
- Fabricate specimens and conduct physical, chemical, non-destructive, and mechanical characterization of resins and composite materials.
- Record experimental results accurately.
- Participate in product development research and problem-solving teams.
- Maintain and improve technical and practical knowledge of techniques used.
- Education in a technical subject (Chemistry, Materials Science, etc.) preferably to a degree level.
- Practical experience of working in a laboratory, particularly in materials science.
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to work.
- Competence to work in a chemical laboratory, including awareness of good practice in terms of laboratory health and safety.
- Able to accurately and concisely record experimental results.
- Strong team player able and willing to actively contribute to the project team.
Our client is an advanced materials and specialty chemical company focused on the manufacture of resins.
LocationThis Laboratory Technician role will be based at our client's site in Heanor, Derbyshire.
