Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Academic Support Specialist to join our team at a school in Middleton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work in a supportive environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide encouragement and support during core foundation subjects, helping students develop their skills and confidence.
  2. Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of Key Stage 1 students, promoting a love of learning and academic success.
  3. Support classroom management and behaviour management strategies, creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  2. Relevant experience working with children, preferably within a school setting, demonstrating a commitment to education and child development.
  3. Knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum and methods to support this, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  4. Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare, though not essential, would be advantageous in this role.

This is a full-time position (8:30am-3:30pm) requiring a dedicated individual to start as soon as possible. We offer a competitive salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
