Business Operations – Service Manager

The post:

Are you a seasoned leader with expertise in facilities management, health and safety, operational compliance, and delivering an inclusive environment? Do you have a passion for sustainability and its implications for working environments? This role will lead on all areas of operational management, ensuring safe and inclusive places for colleagues to work from. You will also lead the final stages of our office move in Glasgow and provide leadership in the development of our approach to hybrid working.

This post will lead a team to deliver critical services that support an effective organisation, focusing on delivering successful outcomes and providing professional advice and expert interpretation to stakeholders, customers, and staff in line with the strategic objectives of PHS.

The candidate:

You'll be a highly skilled graduate with demonstrable experience in a relevant key specialist area, preferably within a Business Operations role. You'll have gained specialist knowledge in estates management and development, health and safety, and organisational compliance. You must be experienced in collaborative working and developing effective relationships with stakeholders.

As a business operations professional, you'll deliver a range of business operations services and customer-focused solutions using innovative techniques. You'll be an inspirational leader with excellent team-working skills and a strong focus on delivering results.

Location:

The post is based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh, or our temporary offices at Central Quay, Glasgow. We are currently hybrid working, and you will be expected to spend time in both PHS offices and working from home. Please note that PHS will be relocating from Central Quay, Glasgow to Bothwell Street, Glasgow by early 2025.

Working pattern:

Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. PHS is a flexible employer, and we are happy to discuss requests for alternative working patterns.

During times of public health emergency or other urgent business need, you may be required to work your normal contracted hours over 7 days, including weekends, to meet the needs of the service.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
