We are seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to join our client's high-performing team in the Midlands and South West region. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in leading the profitable growth of a panel of Brokers, engaging them in-person and virtually, and delivering complex underwriting solutions for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Brokers to identify new business opportunities and grow the branch's portfolio.
- Lead underwriting surgeries and provide expert guidance on complex cases to ensure profitable growth and retention.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve underwriting performance and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute the local underwriting strategy, driving business growth and profitability.
- Act as a referral point for larger, more complex cases, providing expert underwriting solutions and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Proven experience in Professional Indemnity and/or Property & Casualty Underwriting, with a strong understanding of the Lloyd's Market and London Market.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Brokers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
