Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer at DO & CO, you will be responsible for carrying out site-wide electrical and mechanical maintenance, installation work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement to increase and maintain production efficiencies.

Your skills in electrical and mechanical engineering will be put to the test, making every day a stimulating challenge. You will perform repairs in line with company standards, conduct regular maintenance checks, and carry out tasks related to electrical, mechanical, and utilities of all assets across multiple sites.

You will liaise with other departments to communicate effectively, carry out day-to-day maintenance, assist the Maintenance Manager, and adhere closely to repair schedules. Additionally, you will proactively repair, maintain, and prevent breakdowns of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drainage, and other utilities on the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out site-wide electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Performing repairs in line with company standards
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks
  • Liaising with other departments to communicate effectively
  • Carrying out day-to-day maintenance
  • Assisting the Maintenance Manager
  • Proactively repairing, maintaining, and preventing breakdowns of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drainage, and other utilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working in the food industry
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Engineer
  • Relevant engineering qualifications – minimum Engineering NVQ or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data-driven skills with the ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement, and track solutions
  • Strong numerical reasoning ability
  • Organizing time effectively and prioritizing tasks based on their level of urgency

Salary and Location

This position offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the luxury airline catering industry.
