About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement personalized learning plans, and provide additional support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Help students with reading, writing, and maths
  • Develop and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
