We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing temporary building services design solutions for high-profile construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement temporary building services design solutions for the Hinkley 'C' Common Building Services.
  • Ensure the integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety, and sustainability of design and engineering to enable compliant defect-free handover for operational service, delivered to programme and budget.
  • Coordinate with the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor, ensuring a regular flow of information to comply with the requirements of CDM.
  • Be part of the CBS mechanical design team to provide design solutions including but not limited to Ventilation, LTHW, CHW & CWS piped services, and wastewater drainage.
  • Collaborate and share relevant information between design services to ensure no elements of integration are left out of the final designs.
  • Review and check vendor documents/information for electrical compliance with project specifications.
  • Support the Design Manager and contribute to design/construction reviews & sign-off.
  • Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments. Communicate residual design risks to others.
Requirements:

Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers need 4 years + experience in building services engineering design – major projects experience is essential. Full training & education covered for your future development as a design engineer in the nuclear industry.
