We are currently recruiting for a Community Care Worker to join our team in the west Cumbria area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with adults and children, promoting independence and managing challenging behaviour in a community-based setting.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a professional care setting, preferably community-based, and possess knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour, complex care, and mental health.

As a Community Care Worker, you will assist with sensory needs and medication management, provide mental health support and social enrichment, offer education support and personal care, and promote independence and self-advocacy.

This role involves weekend shifts only, offering flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Requirements:

  • ">
  • A Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, enabling you to travel safely and efficiently.">
  • Previous experience in a professional care setting, preferably community-based, demonstrating your ability to adapt and thrive in different environments.">
  • Knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour, complex care, and mental health, showcasing your expertise and understanding.">
  • Strong communication skills and ability to use alternative methods, ensuring effective interaction with service users and colleagues.">
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, highlighting your flexibility and adaptability.">

Compensation:

A competitive salary of £13.50 per hour, plus benefits including paid mileage and enhanced pay for weekends.
