We are seeking a skilled Flexographic Printing Specialist to join our team at Taylor Higson | Print, Packaging, POS, Signage & Mailing Solutions Recruitment Specialists.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating Nilpeter presses and producing high-quality labels. The primary responsibilities of the role include setting up and operating flexographic printing presses, ensuring that all printed materials meet required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and performing job duties
  • Operate Flexographic Printing equipment according to procedures and job specifications
  • Daily productivity responsibility to ensure schedule and targets set are achieved
  • Ensure jobs are produced to ISO 9001, BRC, and PS9000 standards, adhering to relevant SOPs
  • Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of equipment used in the process
  • Relay information through Specification sheets on how jobs are produced and required settings for repetition
  • Work with Shift Supervisor to continually improve quality, processes, and production efficiencies
  • Advise Shift Supervisor on tooling performance issues for necessary replacements
  • Maintain and set AVT inspection equipment for optimum effectiveness and quality standards
  • Set up jobs efficiently using minimal ink and materials
  • Adjust and record ink mixes approved by Shift Supervisor
  • Check colours using X-rite spectrophotometer, match to GMK
