Infrastructure Project Lead

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. As an Infrastructure Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a diverse range of projects within our Highways Delivery Management service.
The ideal candidate will have substantial managerial experience in a related field, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. They will also possess extensive experience in programme and project management, ideally within the public sector.
A competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum is available for this role, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of commissioned projects, ranging from small-scale interventions to capital projects exceeding £100 million.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with best practice management principles and agreed specifications.
- Providing strategic advice on governance and resources for highways, transport, environment, and waste projects.
- Driving innovation and best practices across the supply chain to enhance project delivery.
- Monitoring and reporting on project performance, ensuring financial and regulatory compliance.
