Job Title: Cloud Security Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Specialist to join our team at Lorien. As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will be responsible for providing information security subject matter expertise to our cloud technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the security configuration of our cloud technologies and ensure they meet our security requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Define and document security improvements and enhanced configurations where necessary.
  • Represent Information Security with Business stakeholders as a trusted advisor, finding pragmatic and cost-effective security solutions.
  • Act as a specialist owner of security processes, systems, or frameworks, maintaining specialist knowledge and evolving the process with reference to global and local system owners, regulation, and good practice.
  • Provide specialist advice as part of structured risk and control assessments.

Key Skills:

  • Information Security subject matter expert in Azure cloud technology areas such as M365, Azure Identity, Security, and Compliance, Defender, Azure DevOps, Azure IaaS, etc.
  • Solid, practical, and demonstrable experience of information security, ideally with an understanding of privacy.
  • Able to influence decision making to surface and mitigate issues and risks across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Positive, collaborative, and builds and maintains effective relationships with others.
  • Pragmatic, and effectively balances risk and control requirements with commercial drivers.
  • Ability to articulate and document security requirements and risks so that they are accurate, auditable, and understandable.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively plan, organise, and prioritise tasks and projects.

Lorien is a leading Nordic bank that requires an Information Security Consultant to provide information security subject matter expertise to our cloud technology platforms.

Location: London/Manchester - Hybrid working pattern (1/2 a week on-site)

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

Day Rate: Up to £825 Inside IR35 DOE
