Nurse Unit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Unit Manager at our Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and providing guidance and support to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide direction and oversight to assigned nursing staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a culture of excellence and quality care.
- Mentorship and Training: Offer guidance and support to less experienced nurses, helping them to develop their clinical and leadership skills.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided on the unit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the unit and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve our goals.
- Education and Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: 3 years of long-term care experience preferred, with 2 years of charge nurse experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
