Senior Ecologist Opportunity at AECOM

AECOM is a world-leading infrastructure consulting firm, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our dynamic Nature team in the UK. As a Senior Ecologist, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative Ecology programs and projects, working closely with clients to solve complex environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of high-quality bids and tenders for ecological services, focusing on energy, defence, and water sectors.
  • Plan, schedule, and organize all phases of ecological project work, ensuring necessary resources, budgets, and controls are in place.
  • Deliver high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients, including check and review processes.
  • Communicate effectively with the ecology team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Support the production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland.
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation or at least one major habitat type or species.
  • Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
