Job Title: Principal Ecologist

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Ecologist to join our team. As a key member of our ecological team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage ecological projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement ecological strategies and plans for our clients.
  • Conduct ecological surveys and assessments, including botanical, BNG, and protected species surveys.
  • Design and implement mitigation measures to minimize the impact of development on the environment.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify opportunities for new business and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an ecological consultant, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of current ecological methods, legislation, and guidance.
  • CIEEM membership (Full) is desirable.
