Job Opportunity: Health & Safety Environmental Officer

Recruit4staff is proud to represent a leading supplier to the construction industry in their search for an experienced Health & Safety Environmental Officer to work from their head office facility in Chester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the business is up-to-date with current and planned changes to HSE legislation, attending relevant courses and events as necessary.
  • Liaise with industry HSE bodies to maintain a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of HSE-related equipment and mechanisms to ensure compliance.
  • Investigate HSE-related incidents, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes.
  • Conduct risk assessments, advising managers on implementation, including procedures, communications, PPE, and other safety-related mechanisms.
  • Support and challenge managers in delivering their HSE objectives and actions, attending team meetings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager to develop new and best practices, implementing agreed programs to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years' hands-on experience in an HSE role.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in HSE.
  • Experience in managing HSE systems.
  • A passion for delivering world-class Health & Safety performance.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight budgets and time constraints.

Chester, Wrexham, Deeside, Ellesmere Port.
