Recruit4staff is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Environmental Officer to join their client's team in Chester. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business is up to date with current and planned changes to HSE legislation, attending relevant courses and events, and liaising with industry HSE bodies.

The role involves inspection of HSE related equipment and mechanisms, conducting risk assessments, and advising managers on implementation of procedures, communications, PPE, and other safety related mechanisms. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years' hands-on experience in an HSE role, a NEBOSH General Certificate in HSE, and experience of managing HSE systems.

The successful candidate will be passionate about world-class Health and Safety performance, used to working to tight budgets and time constraints, and able to support and challenge managers in delivering their HSE objectives and actions.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • 2-5 years' hands-on experience in an HSE role
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in HSE
  • Experience of managing HSE systems
  • Passion for world-class Health and Safety performance
  • Ability to work to tight budgets and time constraints
