Automotive Quality Manager Position for Global Organisation

A dynamic and experienced Automotive Quality Manager is required by Jacob Thomas Associates to lead the quality function at one of their client's sites in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

Job Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to join a global organisation with a reputation for delivering technical expertise on various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professionally qualified support to the Recycler, ensuring continuous improvement, safe practices, exceptional housekeeping, growth, and exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, direct, and support all aspects of Quality on site
  • Introduce and improve Automotive quality standards across the extrusion plants
  • Liaise with OPEX and other plants promoting best practice
  • Attend EE Quality meetings and cross-audits at other sites
  • Manage process flowsheets, plant layouts, material handling systems, equipment procurement, and material utilisation within the quality arena
  • Evaluate current and potential processing methods
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators of process operations and recommend corrective actions
  • Create and distribute monthly Quality reports
Requirements:
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment - Manufacturing & Quality background essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with quality standards and effective communication to convey quality assurance principles and practices
  • Previous experience of managing and motivating a team within a production environment (preferred)
  • A demonstrated ability as a leader, with developing skills and an ability to work effectively with staff in a range of functions and at all levels
  • In-depth understanding of Automotive quality processes and documentation
  • Experience in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and change management in an industrial environment
  • Lean Six Sigma or a Higher National Diploma (HND) qualification (desired)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, engineering, or quality management

Salary:
