Staff Giant is a leading provider of residential and community care services, committed to delivering exceptional support to our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Carer to join our team.
Job Summary
We offer a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £14.18 per hour. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, supporting junior staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with their personal care needs, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
- Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door, and the telephone, greeting visitors in a professional manner.
- Liaise with GPs, District Nurses, Chiropodists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the residents' healthcare needs are met.
- Assist in the care of residents who are unwell or dying, providing emotional support and comfort.
- Help to control the issue of drugs, maintain accurate records, and ensure the reliability of medication administration systems.
- Ensure that food preparation, cooking, and serving meet the required standards, promoting a healthy and safe environment.
- Maintain clean and tidy rooms and common spaces, ensuring they are adequately heated.
- Lead, facilitate, and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, supervision, appraisal, and developmental activities.
- Supervise and induct designated staff as required, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Hold relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 3 or above).
- Demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire junior staff.
