We are seeking an ambitious and innovative Critical Care Consultant to complement our diverse and dynamic group of Consultants at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team which includes Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Speech and Language Therapists, Critical Care Outreach Practitioners and Clinical Psychologists.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the Critical Care Unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with Trust objectives.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit and quality improvement projects, to drive excellence in patient care.
- Support the training and development of junior medical staff, including Foundation Year and Specialty Trainees.
- Engage in research and innovation activities, contributing to the development of new treatments and therapies.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Consultant who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- Full GMC registration with license to practice.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine and Allied Specialty.
- FICM approved training in Intensive Care Medicine to Consultant level or equivalent training recognised by FICM.
- FFICM or DICM or EDIC.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- Experience of working well within a team and leading a team.
- Ability to critically appraise published evidence.
- Experience of teaching Foundation Year and Specialty Trainees.
