About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Peer Support Worker. The successful candidate will work within the Psychology 'Loss Pathway', supporting individuals who have experienced perinatal loss.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals accessing our services
- Work alongside dynamic multidisciplinary teams to deliver support to members of the local community
- Develop and deliver a programme of activity to engage and support individuals
- Use lived experience to provide a positive role model and inspire, motivate, guide, and support individuals to engage with services and work on their recovery
Requirements:
- Lived experience of maternal loss and receipt of support within secondary care mental health services
- Relevant level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and/or relevant experience
- Ability to use knowledge, skills, and experience to provide a programme of activity to engage and support individuals
