At Places Leisure, we're changing lives by delivering exceptional services and experiences. We're looking for a skilled Ceramics professional to join our team as a Pottery Studio Manager.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running and organisation of the pottery studio, reporting to the Head of Pottery and the Adult Education Manager. Your duties will include:
- Managing the studio's operations, including kiln loading and firing, clay recycling, and glazing techniques.
- Providing a professional and high-quality service to students and parents.
- Maintaining high standards within the studio and implementing your efforts and organisation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A trained Ceramics professional with relevant experience in running and maintaining a pottery studio.
- A willingness to learn and develop the studio, facilities, and resources available to students.
- Knowledge of kiln loading and firing, clay recycling, and preparation, glazing techniques, and studio organisation.
