About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in the medical and clinical leadership of our acute adult inpatient service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a Responsible Clinician, assessing, reviewing, prescribing, formulating, and treating inpatients admitted to the ward.
  • Lead on the management of inpatients, working alongside a large multidisciplinary team.
  • Support a full-time Specialty Doctor, Higher Trainee, Core Trainee, and Foundation Year Doctor.
  • Contribute to the medical and clinical leadership of the ward.

Person Specification
  • On GMC specialist register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR current AC approval and current member of RCPsych.
  • Experience of working in working age adult psychiatry.
  • Record of teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Description of QIP eg clinical audit/service evaluation/development.
