Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Education Specialist to join our team. As a SEND Support Teacher, you will be responsible for providing tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement individualised learning plans to support the academic development of students.
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with SEN coordinators and other educators to provide a holistic approach to student support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Training in specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia or dyscalculia.
Additional Information
  • Part-Time hours, with flexibility required based on student needs.
  • Work primarily in an outreach setting, travelling to various locations within the East of England.
  • Collaborative work with SEN coordinators and other educators.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.
