Job Title: General Teaching Assistant with SEND Support

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our team at Meadowside Academy. As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the teaching and learning of individuals or small groups of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with teaching staff to support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of pupils with SEND.
  • May be responsible for some learning activities within the overall teaching plan.
  • May work in the classroom or approved location within the school.
  • Access to support and guidance as required.
  • Work with children who have a range of SEND.
  • Undertake specific work with individuals, groups, and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
