Job Title: Autism Support Worker

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team. As a specialist in supporting students with autism, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Support students with challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Assist with small group work and intervention support, promoting social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Support students with personal care needs, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or UK residency.
  • Three months or more of UK residency.
  • Overseas criminal clearance or willingness to apply.
  • Child Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
  • Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
