Job Purpose

The IT Manager role is accountable for delivering the IT platform, ensuring that the system is stable and interacts fully at all times with the accounting systems in place. Whilst delivering the stable platform the role embraces system development to leverage the full potential of the system and its development to meet future needs, including its flow of data to the accounting systems and daily site reconciliation process. Reporting to the Head of IT the role will work across all functions of the business to deliver current & future commercial and financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage & maintain a stable baseline system at Head Office and Site level in conjunction with the rest of the IT Team.
  • Help to maintain site security and configuration in line with company policies and Cyber Essentials.
  • New site installations & site disposals
    • Order EPOS and Back Office equipment and disposal of equipment in a secure manner.
    • Organise broadband and telephone with 3rd party providers.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships with main providers (Bit Solutions, MADIC, telecoms, EFT Terminals and TeamViewer).
  • Develop Head Office system capability notably
    • Price File Management (Multiple suppliers)
    • Direct Managed
    • Data access for business decision making
  • Assist Head of IT to lead development & integration of future initiatives across functions.
  • Assist Head of IT to lead Cost reduction & benefit delivery programmes across Epos & Telecoms.
  • Active involvement in development of all budgets & forecast as required by the board
    • Identify relevant initiatives for deployment in the group, and work across colleagues to develop proposals for sign off and then delivery.

  • Full involvement in developing IT Retail initiatives that drive value to the business.
