Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements and site inspection standards.
  • Develop Written Schemes of Examination, emphasizing degradation mechanisms and specifying services requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate NDT and specialist support services, and produce inspection reports.
  • Highlight repairs to restore equipment to a 'fit for purpose' condition and recommend inspection intervals.
  • Provide inspection knowledge and guidance in equipment failure investigations.
  • Contribute to major shutdown programs, assisting in workscope development and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Engineering background and demonstrable experience as a competent person.
  • Experience in design, fabrication, maintenance, and operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with an excellent eye for detail.
  • UKAS RG-2 Category 3 Inspector qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in an Inspection role.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
  • Working understanding of API/ASME/PSSR/EEMUA standards and guides.
  • Knowledge of refinery damage mechanisms and RBI.
  • Good understanding of NDT techniques, including application and limitations.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
