Overview

We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Critical Care physician to join our team in Birmingham, AL.

Compensation Package

The compensation package includes an estimated salary of $250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience. This also includes benefits such as medical malpractice insurance, retirement plan with employer match, and paid CME allowance.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Critical Care physician to provide procedural expertise in airway management, line placement, and CV monitoring. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ECMO and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide critical care services to patients in the ICU, treating them consistently with established standards of care.
  • Lead daily ICU multi-disciplinary rounds and supervise APPs during clinical shifts.
  • Participate in quality management activities, including development and implementation of treatment protocols and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Actively participate in all medical and audit activities performed within the Hospital, including analysis of protocol outliers and inefficient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Board Eligible/Certified in Anesthesiology and Critical Care with successful completion of fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine.
  • Commitment to excellence in clinical service, forward thinking, and problem-solving abilities necessary in this environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
