HGV Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Halo Personnel. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

About the Job

Based in Salford, this role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, as well as carrying out diagnostic checks to identify any issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
  • Carry out diagnostic checks to identify any mechanical issues
  • Repair or replace faulty components as needed
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of HGV mechanics and repair techniques
  • Experience working with heavy goods vehicles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of £42,700-£61,000 per annum, plus a profit-share bonus every three months of up to £1,000. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to help you grow in your career.

The hours of work for this role are alternating shifts, with one week working from 07:00 to 15:30 and the next week working from 12:30 to 21:00. Alternatively, you may be required to work night shifts, Monday to Thursday from 20:30 to 06:30.
