Disability Support Assistant

Five Education Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Disability Support Assistant to join our partner base in Taunton. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting young people with Autism and SEMH needs, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour duties will involve:
- Delivering person-centered support to students with Autism and SEMH needs.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Contributing to individualized plans and strategies, in collaboration with teaching staff.
To succeed in this position, you will require:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., childcare, education, or special education).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, preferably Autism and SEMH.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations.
- A composed and empathetic demeanor, with expertise in de-escalation techniques.
