Residential Deputy Manager - Children's Home

Serving as the Residential Deputy Manager at North Lakes Children's Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a 4-bedroom home in Carlisle.

The role offers a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, including a sleep-in allowance of £62.64 per night.

About the Role:

  • Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of the issues that face young people in care, coupled with relevant qualifications such as a Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent.
  • We require a qualified and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager who is willing to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work or Youth Work would be advantageous.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is necessary for covering other Residential Homes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To manage the day-to-day activities of the residential home, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.
  2. To contribute to the development of policies and procedures within the home.
  3. To work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  4. To assist in the recruitment and induction of new staff members.
