We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Support Team Member to join our team at Allerton Medical Centre. As a key member of our front-line team, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience for all who visit our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and support, responding to queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient bookings, appointments, and queries, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our clinical team.
- Produce and manage prescriptions, letters, and other correspondence, maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Update and maintain our clinical system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Support the clinical team with queries, problems, and tasks, providing a collaborative and proactive approach to patient care.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the practice, including opening and closing the building, and being available to help out or cover for colleagues during absence.
We are looking for an individual who is:
- Able to connect and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
- Proficient in using IT systems and software, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and discretion.
- Sensitive to the needs of patients who may be anxious, stressed, unwell, or simply in need of a friendly ear.
Previous experience in general practice or a similar setting is desirable, but not essential. We are looking for individuals with the right skills and attitude to thrive in our fast-paced and dynamic environment.
