About the Role
We are seeking a warm and approachable Patient Support Team Member to join our team at Allerton Medical Centre. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, providing a can-do attitude and a smile.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal with patient queries from booking appointments to solving problems, whether face-to-face, over the phone or online.
- Produce prescriptions and deal with letters into the practice.
- Update our clinical system and use it safely to support patient care, dealing with confidential communication, both written and electronically.
- Support the clinical team with any queries or problems.
- Open and close the building.
- Be available to help out or cover for colleagues during absence.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is able to connect and communicate with people, use IT efficiently and effectively, and understand confidentiality and discretion. Previous experience of general practice and/or S1 is not essential, but we are looking for skills rather than knowledge.
