About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner to join our Theatre Team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our anaesthetic team, ensuring the smooth running of our theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior ODP and Anaesthetist with airway management and patient care
  • Collect and administer drugs intraoperatively with the anaesthetist
  • Transfer patients from theatre to the recovery room and hand over to recovery staff
  • Collect patients from the holding bay and check patient details prior to surgery
Requirements
  • NMC registered Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Experience of working within a hospital setting, particularly in theatre
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
