Agricultural Engineer Opportunity

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join their team at a successful dealership in Winchester.

This is a permanent role with a mobile aspect, requiring occasional work at the depot. A company van and fuel card are provided, along with a phone, tablet, and other necessary tools.

The Agricultural Engineer will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machines on customers' sites, ensuring conformance with manufacturers' specifications. They will also carry out inspections and repairs at the depot, as required.

The ideal candidate will have a City and Guilds, NVQ Level 2 in Land Based Engineering or a relevant equivalent. Experience in agricultural plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment is essential.

Good computer skills are required, although training will be provided. A full clean driver's licence is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repairing and maintaining machines on customers' sites
  • Carrying out inspections and repairs at the depot
  • Ensuring conformance with manufacturers' specifications
  • Notifying the appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds, NVQ Level 2 in Land Based Engineering or relevant equivalent
  • Experience in agricultural plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Good computer skills
  • Full clean driver's licence

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

Overtime: Available at a rate of 1.5 times the basic salary
