Job Summary:
Gleeson Logistics, a leading international third-party logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Business Unit Director to oversee their Fashion & Beauty Retail Vertical nationally. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and performance of this critical vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a UK-wide vertical market strategy that encompasses the needs of operations, customer revenues, and internal business partners to deliver efficient, profitable customer-centric solutions.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy and plan to grow revenue and profitability across the business in line with UK strategy goals and vertical expectations.
- Lead a culture of operational and account management excellence that delivers services to customers in excess of the competition and customer expectations.
- Implement and lead plans to grow the business and brand through existing and new customers and through the identification of attractive new verticals for the business to move into.
- Hold full P&L forecasting and budgeting responsibility and to manage the cost and profitability for the UK business and each department.
- Oversee all purchasing activity related to the UK Consumer Goods business and control the commercial guidelines policy for customer activity within UK Consumer Goods.
- Define, monitor, and report performance against key business metrics.
- Ensure there are best practice processes to support excellence in inventory, logistics, and customer service.
