Job Summary
IPS Group is seeking a skilled Chief Financial Strategist to lead its finance function. As the No.1 finance role reporting to the Managing Director, this position requires a hands-on accountant with experience in managing a finance team and producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for the Directors. Key responsibilities include running the weekly and monthly payroll using Sage payroll, ensuring all accounting records are up-to-date, and managing VAT returns.

About IPS Group
We are an owner-managed business operating in the manufacturing sector, offering a full-time office-based role with a half-day finish each Friday. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial operations and be able to motivate a small finance team.

Key Responsibilities
• Produce management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for the Directors
• Manage a small finance team, including running the weekly and monthly payroll using Sage payroll
• Ensure all accounting records are up-to-date, including VAT returns

Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a degree in accountancy or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Sage payroll software.

Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.
