About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a well-maintained retirement home in Burton. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the level of support appropriate to each resident.
  • Undertake personal care duties, including observation checks to ensure residents' safety and hygiene.
  • Participate in activities to keep residents engaged and entertained during their stay.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment to assist residents around the property.
  • Oversee the health and safety of residents under your care.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, following relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours

We offer flexible working hours, including:

  • 07:00 to 14:00
  • 14:00 to 21:00
  • 07:00 to 21:00
  • 21:00 to 07:00
Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this role is:

  • £11.50 per hour for Days
  • £12.00 per hour for Nights
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 months of paid UK work experience in a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Referenceable work history, with 2 professional reference contacts.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
