Electrical Maintenance Opportunity at HMP Frankland

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join the team at HMP Frankland. As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service, we are responsible for providing maintenance trades and support operatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and preventative electrical maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of the prison's electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and replace failed domestic electrical components, ensuring all works are carried out under the appropriate Safe System of Work.
  • Respond to breakdowns and undertake electrical installation activities in accordance with the design provided and IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Actively fault-finding and problem-solving on domestic electrical systems across the prison.
  • Monitor and order critical spares for all electrical services.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate technical qualifications, such as City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, or NVQ level 3 or above.
  • Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations.
  • Ability to work at heights and pass a full prison security clearance and enhanced DBS (if required).
