Job Summary

Hamilton Woods is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Tilbury site. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on equipment and machinery, including drums, rollers, and conveyors.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Participate in a 60/40 planned/reactive maintenance split to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Be available for call-outs to other sites, with fuel expenses covered by a fuel card.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical discipline or equivalent.
  • Apprentice-trained candidates are welcome.
  • Experience in an industrial, heavy metal, or dirty environment; waste industry experience is ideal.
  • Skills in welding and equipment patching are highly desirable.
Working Hours

Shifts vary, with the possibility of call-outs.
