Student Support Role in Hull

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to the growth and improvement of our school in Hull as a Pastoral Support Assistant.

This fast-paced role would suit someone who is happy being on their feet, facilitating seamless transitions between lessons, lunch, and home time.

Key Working Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm

Job Responsibilities:
  1. To provide proactive support in de-escalating situations and removing deregulated children from lessons, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  2. Support teaching staff and senior leadership with pastoral care, academic progress, and student welfare.
  3. Promote a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding among students, teachers, and staff members.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience working with pupils in a classroom setting, demonstrating ability to differentiate work according to each individual child's needs.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with colleagues and develop strong relationships.
  3. Proven track record of effective behaviour management and patience, ensuring a positive impact on student outcomes.
  4. Ability to be physically active and work in fast-paced situations, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.

Estimated Salary Range: £28,500 - £37,000 per annum
