Transport Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our team at Evri. As a key member of our depot team, you will be responsible for delivering the transport operation plan for the Depot, while developing a high-performing team of drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain budgeted costs and plan the fleet to forecasted volumes, controlling driver costs and sustaining above-target levels of service and quality.
- Ensure robust and efficient BAU and peak transport planning processes are prepared, accounting for contingencies and challenges.
- Manage all transport costs, resources, maintenance repairs, and CPU with support from the DGM.
- Lead quality accident investigations professionally and with urgency when necessary.
- Ensure the Depot is always legally compliant in all relevant documentation and systems.
Requirements:
- Full Driving License
- Essential Transport Manager CPC National Certificate
- IOSH Qualified
- Minimum experience of 2-3 years working in a Transport Management position and excellent knowledge of legal compliance, drivers' hours, and WTDs.
- Systems knowledge and experience of working with transport management systems and tachograph analysis.
- Experience of Drug and Alcohol testing
- Experience in a busy 24/7 operation with a large team of diverse colleagues.
