We are partnering with a local authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker Assistant on a 3-month contract, which is highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Estimated Salary: £11.48 - £14.68 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Caretaker Assistant to provide a mobile caretaking and cleaning service for all communal areas within blocks of flats, including high-rise blocks and community living complexes in Cardiff. This role involves assisting with the cleaning and clearance of properties, surrounding or communal areas, using appropriate plant and equipment as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist with the delivery of a high-quality mobile cleaning service and clean and clear support to Voids HLS and Hostels.
  • To undertake all duties in line with service area and corporate policies and procedures.
  • To ensure risk assessments are followed and tasks are carried out, and any council vehicle is driven in accordance with the council's health and safety policy and relevant procedures.
  • To report repairs and ensure that if asbestos has been disturbed, it is reported to the Community Action Supervisor promptly.
  • To assist with maintaining routine documentation, including daily defect books, driver's daily return forms, and other transport documentation.

Requirements:

  • Experience of using new technology.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the UK.
