About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Team Manager to support the management and oversight of the CLA team in Durham. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality care and support for children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management and oversight of the CLA team, ensuring effective delivery of services and high-quality care for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people in care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a social care or child protection setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
