About the Role:

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Structures design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering designs and drawings, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement structural engineering designs and drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Structures design team, other disciplines, and external clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet agreed-upon timeframes and specifications.
  • Review and verify structural calculations and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians on the production of drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with external professionals, including architects, contractors, and clients.
  • Represent the company at external meetings and in writing, as required, and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Training and Development:

  • You will be encouraged to pursue a Professional Qualification commensurate with your academic qualifications.
  • You will be expected to attend in-house and external training courses, seminars, institution events, and comply with the 'Continuing Professional Development' policy.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualification in Structural Engineering (e.g., Chartered Engineer or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Autodesk, Revit, etc.).
