About the Role

Cera is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our solutions for carers and customers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our technology is scalable, reliable, and meets the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new features and APIs using C#/.NET Core, with a focus on reusability, scalability, and performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of the codebase, architecture, testability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with team leads and architects to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and scalable.
  • Work with front-end engineers to support their needs during feature development.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of C#,.NET Core 3.1+, and related technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience in building enterprise-grade backend services in C#/.NET/.NET Core.
  • Experience working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
  • Ability to write unit tests and integration tests using Gherkin/SpecFlow.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and dockerized environments.
  • Willingness to learn infrastructure as code (Terraform) and its maintenance.
  • Experience working in agile environments.

Desirable Experience:

  • Orchestrating and scaling microservices on AWS infrastructure.
  • Resiliency, monitoring, logging, raising alarms, and diagnostics.
  • Asynchronous message-based communication between services, eventual consistency, and the SAGA pattern.
  • Strong understanding of OOP in.NET Core applications.
  • Performance-driven data layer design.
