About the Job
Cornerstone invites applications for a Support Worker - Adults with Autism position in Stonehaven and Portlethen. As a relief colleague, you will provide support to individuals with autism and other disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in leisure activities and community events.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support to individuals with autism and other disabilities
- Assisting with medication management and household tasks
- Helping individuals achieve their goals and engage in leisure activities
- Participating in community events and supporting individuals in their local communities
Requirements and Qualifications
- A strong commitment to supporting individuals with autism and other disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Confidence in working independently and making decisions
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using software applications
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary of approximately £22,500, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, access to our Training Academy, and opportunities for career advancement.
Working Conditions
As a relief colleague, you will work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, waking nights, and public holidays. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are necessary for this position, as you may be required to travel between locations.
