As Warehouse Assistant your job role will encompass; Receipt, Issuance, Locate, Pick, and despatch all commodities within the warehouse function, ensuring that all transactions are executed through our Warehouse Management System. During the execution of this role there will be a requirement to use mechanical handling equipment and hand tools also following process and procedures with an emphasis on continual improvement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packing all 3rd party and intercompany shipments being distributed from the facility.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as requested in other sections within the warehouse.
- Physically checking, counting, and packing materials
- Operates various storage and transport equipment, i.e., Overhead crane
- Safe loading and unloading of trucks for shipments that arrive/depart the facility
- Responsible for complying with all company HS&E (Health & Safety) and warehouse procedural requirements
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- Participate in on-call rota as required
- Responsible for carrying out a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required and in line with operational requirements
- To support the Warehouse Manager or supervisors in performing other duties as and when required

**Qualifications**:
Essential
- Standard Grade Level of Secondary Education or equivalent
Desirable
- Technical qualification related to the job role
- Basic IT skills with word/excel

- Previous experience within a warehouse environment

- Practical training on all essential workshop lifting equipment incl. Overhead Crane and Forklift trucks (training will be provided if required)

- Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Management System procedures and department/local work instructions.

- Participate in training where required and actively participate in DH Competency System.
